Art shapes perception, thought, and expression. The early work in printmaking and sculpture laid the groundwork for a significant shift in the late 1990s toward digital media, where colour, light, and fine detail have become central to the creative process. With both a BA (Hons) and MA in Fine Art from Bretton Hall College, University of Leeds, the artist draws on formal training and a lifetime of experience gathered far beyond the studio, each influence intricately woven into the fabric of a distinctive creative approach.

Blending traditional techniques with expertise in digital media, the artistic expression within each work commands attention through the interplay of colour and light. Each piece aims to evoke connection and emotion, highlighting the creative process that culminates in visually striking compositions and leaves a lasting impression.

The creative process of artistic expression unfolds intuitively, starting without a predetermined outcome and capturing spontaneous scenes on an iPhone-whether in natural landscapes or unexpected environments. Images shaped through this artistic expression are preserved in the cloud for later refinement. This practice spans rapid thirty-minute sketches to layered, time-intensive compositions, each reflecting an evolving dialogue between medium and muse. Utilising digital media, the iPhone acts as a sketchbook, serving as a digital canvas that responds directly to instinct and the moment.
