In Light Works, I extended my exploration of perception and atmosphere by using light as both material and subject. The series emerged through the continued evolution of my sculptural and print-based practice, where I had been investigating how form, surface and mark might shift through interaction, chance and context. Light became a natural continuation of this enquiry, operating as a sculptural presence in its own right and expanding the spatial concerns that had shaped my earlier works.
These pieces examined the capacity of light to transform surface, depth and perception, often changing according to the viewer's position or the surrounding environment. This responsiveness to movement and context reflected a broader interest that runs throughout my practice: the creation of works that resist fixity and remain in a constant state of becoming, unfolding through experience rather than existing as static objects.
